Program Support Materials
- Resiliency Planning Partner Guidelines:
Guidelines for serving in the role of a resiliency planning partner to a vulnerable neighbor. A vulnerable neighbor in the context of this program is someone who is elderly, infirmed or with a disability that would need special assistance in the case of an emergency, and who has asked for assistance.
- Phone Script:
Suggested phone script used by a resiliency planning partner in establishing contact and arranging a follow-up meeting with their neighbor.
- Meeting Script:
Script used by a resiliency planning partner for conducting an emergency preparedness meeting with their neighbor.

These are some best practices for communicating with a person who has a disability.
- Emergency Support Tips for People with Disabilities:
These address various types of disabilities and supplement the actions in the Cool Block program.
- Becoming Resilient:
This is a condensed emergency preparedness program extrapolated from the Cool Block resiliency chapters. It consists of 16 actions that include the priority actions and others relevant for a vulnerable neighbor. The resiliency planning partner prints out a copy for their neighbor and supports him or her in taking the actions.
